When we talk about Mondays, we are really talking about people.
Most Mondays, we aren't prepared for the shock that awaits after the weekend. Kids to school. Off to work. Back at the "grind." People. People. People. At every turn there are opportunities to relate. How can we do that in a healthy way? How can we live like our Mondays matter, because people matter?
Jesus frees us from the cage of comparison to relate rightly to people. What does His way look like?
- We look in the mirror of our hearts before we put other people under a microscope. (See Galatians 6:1-5)
- We look to connect with people instead of compare them. (See 1 John 4:7-11)
- We look to reflect Jesus to others, not project a polished version of self. (See 1 Peter 2:9-10)
This is impossible by ourselves, but we have a good Father who is with us, for us, and will help us in the process. (See Matthew 7:7-11) Jesus frees us from the cage to rightly relate and carry the name into all of life. Your Monday matters because people matter.
