WHAT RKIDS (LITTLES, BIGS, & JUNIORS) ARE LEARNING THIS MONTH:

LITTLES, BIGS, and JUNIORS will learn all about the joy Jesus brought into the world. 

WEEK 1: December 6 & 7

This week, kids hear the joyful news that Zechariah and Elizabeth will have a son who will prepare the way for Jesus.

  • BIG IDEA: God sent Jesus at the perfect time.

  • BIBLE: Luke 1:5–25, 57–66

  • DISCUSSION STARTERS:
    -The angel Gabriel says that God heard Zechariah's prayer. What were Zechariah and Elizabeth praying for?
    -How do you feel when you don't get what you want when you want it? 

 

WEEK 2: December 13 & 14

This week, kids hear how Mary visited Elizabeth to share joyful news.

  • BIG IDEA: Jesus brings joy to the world.

  • BIBLE: Luke 1:39–56

  • DISCUSSION STARTERS:
    -Where did Mary go as soon as the angel left her?
    -How does God give us joy that lasts forever? 

 
WEEK 3: December 20 & 21

This week, kids hear the joyful news that Jesus was born and how shepherds came to celebrate!

  • BIG IDEA: Jesus is God’s greatest gift.

  • BIBLE: Luke 2:1–20

  • DISCUSSION STARTERS:
    -What did the angel say to the shepherds
    -Who is someone you can share the story of Jesus with?
