RKIDS

Guiding kids to trust Jesus always
no matter the moment.

WHAT IS RESTORATION KIDS

Restoration Kids (RKIDS) is a safe and fun space where kids are accepted, loved, and encouraged by Jesus and His church. Our goal is to create an environment where parents can participate in worship freely, without worry, and experience Jesus. Each Sunday, children are met by our background-checked volunteers and invited into rooms equipped with intentional, age-appropriate fun. Children, ages two and older, will engage in a Bible-centered curriculum, songs, and activities to help them learn about the God who made and loves them. Babies, 6-24 months, will receive loving care from incredible volunteers.

PLANNING TO VISIT?

Come to the RKIDS Check-In corner in the main lobby. A friendly RKIDS Host will help you register your child(ren) for and answer any questions. If you are new to RKIDS, you can pre-register your child(ren) by clicking the link below.

CHECK-IN

RKIDS check-in opens 15 minutes before all gatherings. Upon check-in, parents will receive a claim tag that matches the number on their child(ren)’s name tag. BABIES (6 - 24 months) and LITTLES (2 - 5 years) rooms are available for the entire gathering. BIGS (6-9 years) will participate in the music portion of the "gathering" before being released to their room.

CLASSROOM POLICIES + PRACTICES

  • What to Bring (And Not Bring)

Be sure to pack diapers, sippy cups, and a change of clothes, along with anything that might help in soothing your child if needed (blanket, pacifier, etc.). Please label any personal items that are brought into the classroom.

Please refrain from bringing any personal toys into the room, as those items can often lead to conflicts in sharing.

    Diapers + Potty Training

All diaper changing is done by an adult female volunteer in the BABIES room. We are happy to assist with any toddlers who are potty training. If you do not want the RKIDS volunteer to change your child’s diaper, we are happy to page you during the gathering if needed.

    Snacks

We offer cheerios to babies who can eat solids and we are happy to feed babies their provided bottles and/or snacks (must be nut free) as requested by parents. If you do not want your child to have a snack, or if you are going to provide your own, please be sure to talk with the room volunteer when dropping off your baby.

    Curriculum

We begin teaching with a structured curriculum in our LITTLES room (2–5-years old). Babies will receive intentional care, while participating in free play with fun, age appropriate toys and books.

  • What To Expect

We use a wonderful curriculum called The Gospel Project for Kids. This curriculum takes children chronologically through the Bible, connecting the dots to reveal the overarching narrative of Scripture while showing how every story in the Bible points to Jesus. Our LITTLES have fun forming community and friendships through free play and activities that introduce the theme for each week’s lesson. They will participate in engaging songs and a weekly Bible lesson.

    Snacks

We serve veggie straws and water weekly. If your child has an allergy, or if you prefer your child not be served a snack, please communicate that with the room volunteer when dropping off your child.

    Bathrooms And Potty Training

We ask that parents take their children to the bathroom prior to dropping them off in the room. If your child needs to use the bathroom, an adult female volunteer will walk your child to the bathrooms located in the RKIDS area. She will stand outside of the bathroom and will provide basic assistance, as needed, for children who are potty training. If your child is potty training, please bring a change of clothes in case of an accident. If your child is still in diapers or pull-ups, please provide extra for necessary changes. If needed, an adult female volunteer will change them.

    What NOT To Bring

We request that LITTLES not bring any personal toys into the room, as this can sometimes lead to conflict in sharing with other kids.

  • What To Expect

We use a curriculum called The Gospel Project for Kids. This curriculum takes children on a Christ centered, chronological journey through scripture. Children will discover how the gospel unfolds from Genesis to Revelation. BIGS participate in worship during the main gathering with their family members prior to being excused to the BIGS room where they will participate in exciting songs, a gospel centered lesson, and engage in interest-based play in the Reading Nook, Craft Corner, Building Zone, or Game Central. Snacks are not served in the BIGS room.

    Bathrooms

We request that parents take their children to the bathroom before the gathering. However, if children need to go to the bathroom while in the BIGS room, an adult female volunteer will walk them to the RKIDS bathrooms, wait until they are finished, and walk them back to the BIGS room.

GENERAL INFO

  • Check In/Out Process

RKIDS opens 15-minutes prior to the worship gatherings. All children must be checked into RKIDS prior to entering their RKIDS room. Upon check-in, parents will receive numbered nametags for each child being checked in and a single claim sticker that matches the number on their child(ren)’s name tag(s). Parents must present their claim sticker to the room volunteers in order to pick up their children from the classroom. If a claim sticker is lost, it can be re-printed at the check-in kiosks with the RKIDS Host.

    Paging System

Our goal is for children to remain in RKIDS so parents can freely participate in the worship gathering. If a parent is needed, the RKIDS Sunday Host will page parents by sending them a text message to meet in the RKIDS check-in area.

    Bathroom Policies

To ensure the safest possible environments for both children and volunteers, we have a number of policies in place regarding diaper changing and restroom usage, including:

    • Only adult females may change diapers

    • Children will only use the bathrooms located in the RKIDS area.

    • Only adult females may enter a bathroom to provide needed assistance to a child

    Volunteers

All RKIDS volunteers go through an extensive process that includes an application, interview, training, and background screening. Each room will always have at least 2 adult volunteers- 1 lead teacher, and at least one room assistant. Children will NEVER be left unattended or alone with a volunteer.

  • To protect the children and volunteers in our ministry, we request that parents do not bring children into the RKIDS rooms if they are exhibiting any of the following symptoms:

    • Fever – must be 24 hours fever-free (without medicine)

    • Colored nasal drainage

    • Persistent Cough

    • Vomiting or Diarrhea – must be 24 hour symptom-free hours

    • Any contagious or questionable skin rash

    • Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)

    • Head Lice

    • Any symptoms of common childhood diseases, such as chicken pox, strep throat, hand-foot & mouth, etc.

Please communicate with the room volunteers if your child is experiencing any non-contagious symptoms to prevent any unnecessary confusion or concern.

RJUNIORS: 4TH - 6TH GRADE MINISTRY (11:00 AM GATHERING ONLY)

Children checked into RJUNIORS will participate in the song portion of the main gathering with their family members before being excused to "The Studio" where they will participate in community time with same-aged peers and relatable volunteers.
