FAQs

  • Great question. May I pose one back? Why not Saturday night?

There is something powerful about the tradition of Sunday morning church. We love our two existing Sunday morning gatherings.

Yet, to pack a third gathering into Sunday morning would mean we would have to rush.  And we don’t want to rush!  There is enough of that in culture already, we want you to come early, stay late, grab a coffee, talk with old friends, meet new ones, let your kids play together, live life alongside the church, not just attend a “church service”.  We chose Saturday Night because we believe it gives us the best opportunity to be a people who, not just a place where.

Also, we realize that there is a community of people that can’t make Sunday mornings work, we are hopeful this will allow those people a new option.

  • 5:30 PM at our normal Restoration Church gathering location.
    226 N Montezuma St.

  • RKIDS will be provided during the Saturday gathering. Check-in will open 15 minutes prior to the gathering.

    Learn More About RKIDS

  • So glad you asked. Yes, we are looking to grow our volunteer teams for all areas; RKIDS, Coffee + Donuts, Greeter, Worship, A/V, and Prayer.

If you or someone you know is interested in join our Saturday night team, please click here to complete our “Join A Team” form.

If you already serve on a team and would like to switch to Saturdays, please contact your team lead.

  • Yes and yes. We still hold to our values that church is a people who, not a place where. So join us Saturday evening, grab a mug and a donut and spend some quality time with your community.

WHAT ABOUT KIDS?

RKIDS is a safe and fun space, offered during our Saturday gatherings, for children, 6-months through 3rd grade. The goal of RKIDS is that children are accepted, loved, and encouraged by Jesus - and His Church - so that parents can participate in worship freely, without worry, and experience Jesus. You are also welcome to have your child join you in our gathering. Please note that all of our RKIDS volunteers have undergone background checks and have been trained prior to volunteering.

Check-in opens 15 minutes before our Saturday night gathering.

RJUNIORS 4TH - 6TH GRADE who are checked in will participate in the song portion of the main gathering with their family members before being excused to The Studio where they will enjoy some snacks and creative games to get to know one another, participate in gospel-centered teaching and break into groups for meaningful discussion. This time is intentionally crafted so JUNIORS can participate in community time with same-aged peers and relatable volunteers.

RYOUTH (7th - 12th Grade) is a community for middle and high school students where every student's name is known, their unique story is valued, and hearts are pointed to Jesus. They meet at 5:30 PM on Sunday nights.

HERE IS WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

  • Scripture Reading

Each week we read from the Scriptures together.  To be presented with who God is, we need to hear His Word.

  • Singing

Music is powerful.  It can be a guide that leads us through joys and sorrows, mountains and valleys, and the broken and the beautiful.  This is all the more true when that music is centered on singing to worship the One true God.

  • Prayer

Each week we have a short time of reflective prayer where we walk through trusting Jesus with our mind, heart, hands, space, stuff and sin. This practice points us back to Jesus and in the direction of being human the way we were made to be.

  • Teaching

We spend time resting in, relying on, and studying the truths of the Scriptures and the Gospel.

  • Communion

We take communion every week.  Our hope is in our being united to Jesus, and communion draws us nearer to Him each week.

  • Giving

We believe that all good gifts (including our finances) have come from the Father.  So, we worship by giving back.  God calls us to be generous, and generosity aligns our hearts with His.

  • What Should I Wear

We are gathering because we all recognize we NEED Jesus.  Jesus says come as you are, so we do too. You will find that some people who are a part of Restoration Church come casual (t-shirts, jeans, or shorts) and some come more formal. Just be you.

  • Coffee + Conversation

We were created to be in community. Designed for relationships. Plan to come a little early or hang out a little longer after the gathering to enjoy a cup of coffee and a conversation connecting with someone. You never know, “they just might have a problem that you’d understand. We all need somebody to lean on”

Volunteer

You’ve heard it said, “It takes a village….” That couldn’t be more true when it comes to our Saturday night gatherings. Would you consider taking a moment and completing the “Join A Team” form.
